NEET-UG 2024 Controversy: Students Protest, Demand Investigation Into NEET 'Irregularities' | ABP News
Student unions and parents staged a protest near the education ministry, demanding an investigation into purported irregularities in the NEET exam, as reported by news agency PTI. Responding to the uproar, the National Testing Agency (NTA) said that the education ministry has established a four-member panel to scrutinize the grace marks allotted to over 1,500 candidates in the examination. This development unfolded amidst accusations of score inflation, resulting in 67 candidates sharing the top rank in the NEET-UG medical entrance test.
The Supreme Court on Tuesday will hear a petition seeking cancellation of NEET-UG 2024 exam results and re-examination over alleged paper leak. A vacation bench of Justices Vikram Nath and Ahsanuddin Amanullah will hear the matter today.
It may be noted that on May 17, the Supreme Court issued notice on a petition seeking the cancellation of the test on the grounds of paper leak. However, the top court had refused to stay the results.
