Muzaffarnagar: Dead Rat in mid-day meal served to students

A dead rat was found in mid-day meal food served to students in Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar on Tuesday. At least nine children and a teacher fell ill after consuming the food. They were admitted to a nearby hospital. The meal was meant for students from Class 6 to 8.  It was prepared by an NGO called Jan Kalyan Sanstha Committee that is based in Hapur, a town about 90 kilometres from Muzaffarnagar. The students and teachers were released after an hour.
