MP: No FIR registered on Special DG for beating wife

Senior IPS officer Purshottam Sharma has been summoned by the Women Commission in the capital of Madhya Pradesh, after allegations of beating his wife. After the video of the incident went viral, the Women's Commission took cognizance of the matter. 

Yesterday, the DG was removed from his post. No criminal case has been registered in this case so far. At the same time, action can be taken today on Sharma. The Home Ministry of Madhya Pradesh had asked for his response.
