MCD In Action, Seals 13 Illegal Coaching Centres In Old Rajinder Nagar Following IAS Aspirants' Deaths
Following the tragic incident in Old Rajendra Nagar, Delhi, where three students (two female and one male) lost their lives due to flooding in the basement of a building, the coaching center issued a statement of condolences on Sunday, July 28. Additionally, the MCD (Municipal Corporation of Delhi) has taken action by sealing 13 coaching centers. Under the orders of Mayor Shaili Oberoi, authorities sealed 13 coaching centers operating illegally in basements in the Rajendra Nagar area late on Sunday night. The sealed centers include IAS Gurukul, Chahal Academy, Plutus Academy, Sai Trading, IAS Setu, Topper's Academy, Dainik Samvad, Civils Daily IAS, Career Power, 99 Notes, Vidya Guru, Guidance IAS, and Easy for IAS. MCD officials reported that these coaching centers were operating in various parts of Rajendra Nagar, violating regulations by running operations in basements. The centers were sealed on-site, and notices were affixed. In a statement, the accused coaching centers expressed their deep condolences to the families of the deceased students—Tanya Soni, Naveen Dalwin, and Shreya Yadav. The statement read: “In light of the tragic incident involving students from Rajendra Nagar Rao IAS Study Circle, we extend our heartfelt sympathy to the families of the deceased students. Our thoughts are with their families during this difficult time.” The coaching institute also stated that they are "deeply saddened by the loss of these promising young individuals who were preparing to serve our country with dedication and commitment."
