Even after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's appeal of not to go into markets to buy candles and diyas, few people in Lucknow came out in markets to buy diyas. although, the people maintained social distancing while buying diyas. 

PM Modi has appealed to light diyas, candles, torch or flashlight on Sunat at 9 pm for 9 minutes as a gesture of solidarity, positivity, and togetherness amid Coronavirus crisis in India.
