I believed that Indian citizens would stand together to safeguard the Constitution and I thank them for that... You have taken the first and biggest step in this regard: Rahul Gandhi. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah claiming that the BJP government captured institutions like ED, CBI, and Income Tax.
Rahul Gandhi also lauded the people of UP, who gave a decisive mandate to the SP-Congress alliance in the state, saying "The people of UP did wonders this election."

The Congress leader thanked the voters for electing him from Rae Bareli and Wayanad. "I have won from Rae Bareli and Wayanad and I thank the voters. I need to decide which seat I will retain. I haven't decided yet," Rahul Gandhi said.
