Addressing a press conference, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi says, "We fought this election not just against BJP but also the institutions, the governance structure of the country, the intelligence agencies CBI &EDI, judiciary because all these institutions were captured by Amit Shah & Narendra Modi ji...". 

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah claiming that the BJP government captured institutions like ED, CBI and Income Tax. On the question of INDIA alliance reaching out to parties for a possible government formation, Rahul Gandhi said, "We have a meeting with partners tomorrow and these questions will be raised there. We respect our alliance partners and we will not make any announcements in the press without asking them and their opinions."
