Karakat is one of the 40 Lok Sabha constituencies of Bihar, where voting is taking place today, and people are in queues to exercise their franchise. Mahabali Singh won the Bihar Karakat Constituency in the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections from the JD(U) party. Upendra Kushwaha was the runner-up from Karakat, who lost by 84,542 votes and belonged to the BLSP. In the 2019 Lok Sabha Polls, Mahabali Singh received 398,408 votes and won by a margin of 84,542 votes. 

7th phase of polling of LS Elections includes Varanasi, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is contesting for a third consecutive term. Polling will be conducted in all 13 seats of Punjab, four seats in Himachal Pradesh, 13 constituencies in Uttar Pradesh, nine in West Bengal, eight in Bihar, six in Odisha, and three seats in Jharkhand, alongside Chandigarh.
