Lok Sabha Election 2024: PM Modi To Address Four Poll Rallies In UP Today | ABP News
After a two-day Kashi visit on May 13-14 for filing his nomination and holding a road show, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address four rallies in eastern Uttar Pradesh on Thursday as part of the BJP’s mega Purvanchal push, party leaders confirmed.
The Thursday rallies of PM Modi will be held in Pratapgarh, Azamgarh’s Lalganj, Jaunpur’s Machhlishahr and Bhadohi. Polling in these constituencies will be held in the sixth phase of the Lok Sabha election on May 25.
The people of Amethi began their electoral journey in 1967 when they sent Vidya Dhar Bajpai of the Congress to Parliament. Bajpai won the seat again in the 1971 elections. The Congress, however, lost the constituency in 1977 as Janata Party's Ravindra Pratap Singh thrashed Sanjay Gandhi in 1980 by over 75,000 votes.
