Land For Job Scam: Rouse Avenue Court Grants Bail To Lalu Yadav Along With Eight Others
The Rouse Avenue Court granted bail to Lalu Yadav and eight other individuals, including his sons Tej Pratap and Tejashwi Yadav, in the land-for-job scam. The court noted that all nine accused were chargesheeted without arrest and set bail conditions requiring a personal bond of ₹1 lakh each. The next hearing is scheduled for October 25. In a notable detail, the court ordered all accused to surrender their passports. On September 18, the court had summoned Lalu Yadav and nine others after reviewing the Enforcement Directorate's chargesheet. Although Tej Pratap Yadav was not listed as an accused in the chargesheet, the court issued a summons for him due to his familial ties to Lalu Yadav, emphasizing that his involvement in the money laundering case could not be dismissed. This marks the first time Tej Pratap Yadav has been summoned regarding the land-for-job case. The court highlighted that a significant amount of land was transferred inappropriately and that the Yadav family allegedly misused their positions in these transactions.
