Kolkata RG Kar Medical College Case: CBI Raids 15 Locations Following ABP News Operation | ABP News
In Kolkata, a significant development has emerged in the ongoing case involving the rape and murder of a trainee female doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. Yesterday, ABP News conducted an investigative operation named "Operation RG Kar," which uncovered several crucial details related to the case. The sting operation revealed new information from Dr. Somnath Das, a former forensic doctor at the college, regarding Sandeep Ghosh. As a result of the revelations, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has intensified its probe. On August 25, the CBI raided 15 locations, including the residence of former RG Kar Medical College Principal Sandeep Ghosh. The CBI team arrived at Ghosh’s home around 6:45 a.m. and waited outside for an hour before gaining entry at 8:06 a.m. In addition to Ghosh’s residence, the CBI also conducted searches and interrogations at several other locations. These include the residence of former MSVP Sanjay Basist at RG Kar Medical Hospital, medical supplier Biplab Singha in Hatgacha, and forensic medicine professor Debashis Som in Kestopur. The CBI team was accompanied by central forces during the raids at Ghosh’s residence in Beleghata. Kolkata Police also had a presence outside the premises. The CBI has filed its first FIR in the RG Kar corruption case, and the SIT has provided relevant documents to the CBI for further investigation.
