Kolkata Doctor Case: Torch Processions Held Across Kolkata In Response To Doctor's Case | ABP News

Nine people have been arrested in connection with the vandalism at a Kolkata hospital, with 15 policemen injured in last night's violence. Doctors allege that miscreants looted medicines. The rape and murder of a trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital has sparked nationwide outrage, with students protesting in the streets and escalating political tensions. Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai criticized West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, alleging that her government tried to cover up the incident. He welcomed the High Court's decision to order a CBI investigation, promising that the agency would actively pursue justice. In related developments, police have arrested at least nine individuals for vandalism at the Kolkata hospital. BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain also made a significant statement regarding the violence at the hospital.
