Kedarnath Cloudburst: Helicopters and Sniffer Dogs Deployed for Rescue Operations in Sonprayag

In Himachal Pradesh, cloudbursts have resulted in significant devastation, with over 50 people dead and 11 missing across Shimla, Mandi, and Kullu districts. The situation in Kedarnath has also been dire, with helicopters and sniffer dogs deployed in Sonprayag for rescue operations. Himachal Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukkhu has confirmed that rescue and relief efforts are ongoing. In response to the crisis, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is closely monitoring the situation and has instructed officials to provide all necessary support to those affected by the severe rains and cloudbursts. The central government is actively coordinating with state authorities to manage the emergency and assist victims.
