Kanwar Yatra 2024: One dead And One Injured As Speeding Bike Hits Pilgrim | ABP News

During the Kanwar Yatra on July 23, a tragic road accident in Muzaffarnagar resulted in the death of one pilgrim and injury to another. Circle Officer Ramashish Yadav of Khatauli provided details, explaining that a speeding motorcycle struck a sleeping devotee. Yadav stated, "We received information about an accident in the Ratanpuri police station area. Upon arrival, we discovered that three Kanwar devotees, exhausted from their journey, had laid down by the side of the road, while another devotee was sitting nearby. A speeding bike hit the sleeping devotee and fled the scene. One devotee died, and another is receiving treatment at the hospital. The incident was reported by other Kanwar devotees, and further action is underway."
