Jammu And Kashmir Elections: Multiple Officers Transferred Ahead Of Assembly Election Announcement | ABP News

Ahead of the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections, a major administrative reshuffle has occurred, with 89 IAS and Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service officers and 27 senior police officers being transferred. The Election Commission of India (ECI) is expected to announce poll dates for several key states today. Assembly elections are due in Maharashtra and Haryana, with their legislative assemblies set to end on November 26 and November 3, respectively. Additionally, the ECI is likely to announce the schedule for Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) elections before September 30, as mandated by the Supreme Court. The ECI has recently visited Jammu, Kashmir, and Haryana to assess poll readiness, but a visit to Maharashtra remains pending.
