Jammu And Kashmir Elections: First Elections Post Article 370 Removal To Be Held In J&K | ABP News
The Election Commission of India (ECI) will announce the poll dates for several key states today. Assembly elections are due in Maharashtra and Haryana, with their legislative assembly terms ending on November 26 and November 3, respectively. The ECI is also likely to announce the schedule for Jammu and Kashmir's first assembly elections since the removal of Article 370, expected to be held before September 30, as mandated by the Supreme Court. The Election Commission recently conducted visits to Jammu, Kashmir, and Haryana to assess poll preparedness, although a visit to Maharashtra is still pending. A press conference is scheduled for 3 pm today to make the official announcement.
