Jamia to JNU, women become face of protest
Since the Citizenship Amendment Act was passed in the Parliament, entire country is witnessing protest. But an interesting aspect of these protests is that a lot of them have been led and organised by women. Be it in Jamia or JNU, women have been at the forefront of these demonstrations. Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone too visited Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) on January 7 to express solidarity with the students.
