Jahangirpuri demolition drive: Hindu-Muslim families come together to fight against MCD | Matrabhumi

The anti-encroachment drive came to a stop just hours after the Supreme Court ordered that demolition in Jahangirpuri be paused, with the apex court set to hear the case on Thursday. Days after community conflicts erupted in the region, the demolition campaign began. On Wednesday morning, security was increased throughout the city, particularly in Jahangirpuri. The CRPF has deployed 12 companies (about 1,250 jawans) in the city in two shifts, with the majority stationed in and around Jahangirpuri.
