International Yoga Day: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami performs Yoga asanas
Pithoragarh (Uttarakhand), June 21 (ANI): Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami performed Yoga on the occasion of 10th International Yoga Day on June 21. ABP News: Prime Minister Narendra Modi did yoga at Sher-e-Kashmir International Conference Center (SKICC) in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir on International Yoga Day. Earlier, while addressing the people, he said that today the number of people doing yoga is continuously increasing all over the world, the attraction towards yoga is increasing. While addressing the youth at Sher-e-Kashmir International Conference Centre, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that yoga gives us strength. I am feeling this after coming to Srinagar. People are doing yoga all over the world. From the land of Kashmir, I congratulate the people on Yoga Day. He said that ten years ago, I had proposed to celebrate International Yoga Day in the United Nations. India's proposal was supported by 177 countries, which is a record in itself. This year the theme of Yoga Day is 'Yoga For Self and Society', which emphasizes on the impact it has on the health of the self and the community. The Prime Minister is scheduled to participate in the program 'Empowerment of Youth, Change in Jammu and Kashmir' at Sher-e-Kashmir International Conference Center (SKICC) in Srinagar during the day. Officials said that more than 7,000 people are joining them to do yoga on the banks of Dal Lake on Friday.
