Let us tell you that for the first time on 27 September 2014, in the United Nations General Assembly, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had proposed celebrating International Yoga Day in his speech. In the same year, on 11 December 2014, the United Nations General Assembly approved this proposal and announced to celebrate 21 June as International Yoga Day. Let us tell you that this proposal got the support of 177 countries. After which Yoga Day was celebrated for the first time across the world on 21 June 2015. On this day, millions of people across the world practiced yoga collectively.
