Indian Railways used incorrect figures to show profit: CAG Report
The Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) has expressed concern over the economic condition of the Railways. The CAG has said that the Railways showed future earnings by adding it to its account to show its economic condition as better. The CAG has presented its report on the economic condition of the Railways in both houses of Parliament on Wednesday. It has been said in this report that Railways has shown its operating ratio 97.27 in the year 2018-19. However, the railways target was to keep the operating ratio at 92.8.
