Indian Railways cancels contract worth Rs 471 crore with Chinese Firm

The railway has cancelled the ongoing contract with the Chinese firm Beijing National Railway Research and Design Institute of Signal and Communication Company Limited.

This move of the Railways is being linked to the ongoing tension between India and China. Work was being done at a very slow pace. The satisfactory response was not received on-demand from the corporation. On this, the railways cancelled the contract of the Chinese firm.
