Himachal Weather: Cloudburst Hits Malana, Causes Significant Damage to Power Project | ABP News

In the early hours of Thursday, a cloudburst occurred near a hydro project in Shimla’s Rampur-Jhakri area, as confirmed by the District Disaster Management Authority. Following the incident, Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap and Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Gandhi have been dispatched to the site. Deputy Commissioner Kashyap reported that teams from the Disaster Response Force (DSRF), police, and rescue squads have been sent to the affected area. Currently, 19 people are reported missing due to the cloudburst. The incident has created a climate of fear among local residents. The district administration has urged the public to remain vigilant due to the forecast of heavy rainfall.
