High Court questions Delhi Police on registration of FIRs
The Delhi High Court on Wednesday directed Delhi Police to take a "conscious decision" on the registration of FIRs against three prominent political leaders for allegedly inciting violence in the national capital. The Delhi High Court on Wednesday passed a slew of orders in the wake of riots that have gripped northeast area of the national capital and directed higher functionaries to personally meet the victims to build confidence. Sonia Gandhi demanded that Home Minister Amit Shah should resign following his "colossal failure" in controlling violence in north-east Delhi.
