Bansidhar Bhagat, a BJP MLA from Kaladhungi, was sworn in as the pro tem speaker of the Uttarakhand Assembly on Monday. Governor Lt Gen (retd) Gurmit Singh administered the oath of office during a ceremony held at Raj Bhawan in the presence of interim chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Chief Secretary S S Sandhu, Principal Secretary Ananad Vardhan, and secretary to the governor, Ranjit Kumar Sinha. Bharatiya Janata Party will host a meeting today to finalize the new CM for Uttarakhand.
