Entrepreneurs in Mangaluru pitch for economic growth, connectivity ahead of Lok Sabha elections

As Lok Sabha Elections 2024 underway, Entrepreneurs in Mangaluru demanded for economic growth and connectivity to Bengaluru to boost business. 
Owner of Ajith Enterprises, Ajith Kamat said, “As per Dakshina Kannada is concerned, the major thing that will boost our industrial wise is our connectivity to Bangalore. Everybody’s trying to go ahead with the infrastructure and connectivity. As per as overall other things are concern, we would be very happy to see if the GST is brought to the overall level of percent and charges on all the things rather than various laps…As an Industrial society, we want economic growth. Whichever government comes, we want the economic growth so that we all can carry out our businesses,” said Ajith Kamat. 
“We are a small-scale industry being a part of the manufacturing unit. There are several hindrances to our growth. In terms of proximity, we need road connectivity and rail connectivity to be improved in Mangalore. One of the hindrances is that the port in Mangalore is not in useful capacity due to which a lot of exporters didn’t get insurance prices,” said Young Entrepreneur Aatmika.
