Election Result 2024: How NDA Govt Will Take Tough Decisions In This Term As BJP Lacks Majority? | ABP News

After the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led NDA bloc bagged 293 seats and crossed the majority mark of 272 seats in the Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to take the oath on June 9. The NDA has won 293 seats in the Lok Sabha election, comfortably above the majority mark of 272 in the 543-member House, paving the way for Modi to take the oath for a third consecutive term, a first for any ruling alliance since 1962. While the NDA secured 293 seats, the BJP itself fell short of a majority, winning only 240 seats in this election. In 2019, it was easier for the BJP to make tough decisions and pass bills due to their full majority. However, this year, it remains a concern how the BJP will fulfill the promises made in its manifesto without a clear majority.
