Despite PM Narendra Modi's appeal to the nation not to panic in this situation of Coronavirus outbreak, several people in many cities thronged to local markets and ration shops to hoard a stockpile, fearing a lockdown is imminent. 

Even on Friday, when Delhi government categorically said that despite the shut down, ration shops will continue to remain open, people are still hoarding on daily needs items.
