Delhi Coaching Centre Case: Building Owner's Bail Plea Denied | ABP News

A Delhi court on Friday rejected the bail applications of four co-owners of a coaching centre basement where three civil services aspirants drowned last month. The court observed that while the co-owners were not "exclusively responsible" for the incident, the role of Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) officials was significant. The court noted that MCD officials had not acted on a prior complaint about the illegal use of the basement, indicating potential complicity. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is probing the incident at Rau's IAS Study Circle in Old Rajindra Nagar and is expected to hold all responsible parties accountable. Principal District and Sessions Judge Anju Bajaj Chandna denied bail to Parvinder Singh, Tajinder Singh, Harvinder Singh, and Sarbjit Singh, citing the ongoing CBI investigation and the need to clarify their specific roles. The court also highlighted the need to investigate building bye-law violations and drainage encroachments.
