CM Yogi's Powerful Call from Varanasi Says, 'If Religion is Safe, We Are Safe' | ABP News
On Saturday, December 7, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attended the centenary celebrations of the Vihangam Yoga Sant Samaj at the Swerved Mahamandir Dham in Varanasi. The event also hosted a grand 25,000-altar Swerved Knowledge Maha Yajna. CM Yogi commended the seamless management of the event, despite the presence of thousands of attendees. During his address, the Chief Minister echoed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s philosophy, stating, "Every action should be dedicated to the nation. When the nation is secure, religion is secure. If religion is secure, so are we." He emphasized that all efforts must transcend personal, social, or religious boundaries and align with the values of Sanatan Dharma and India’s Vedic-spiritual traditions, which hold the power to unite all. CM Yogi reflected on the legacy of Sadguru Sadafal Dev Maharaj, who was born in 1888 in a small village in Ballia and founded the Vihangam Yoga Sant Samaj in 1924. He noted that this centenary celebration allows people to witness and receive the spiritual offerings of the saint’s yogic practices. He added that Sadguru Sadafal Dev Maharaj not only advanced the spiritual movement but also actively participated in India’s freedom struggle, contributing to the first revolt at Barrackpore. Yogi emphasized that a true yogi cannot remain passive when faced with societal challenges. Highlighting Prime Minister Modi’s contributions, Yogi lauded the transformation of Kashi over the past decade, including the creation of the grand Kashi Vishwanath Dham, Namami Gange’s largest bathing ghat, and enhanced connectivity in rail, road, and air services. He noted that Kashi now boasts improved facilities, including helipads and venues for large-scale events. The event also marked the grand inauguration of the Swerved Mahamandir by PM Modi in December 2023, showcasing his appreciation for the efforts of the Vihangam Yoga Sant Samaj and the Swerved Mahamandir Trust. CM Yogi also recalled participating in the event under PM Modi’s guidance in 2021.
