Central Government Notifies 'Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024' | ABP News
There is an uproar across the country regarding the NEET paper leak and then the cancellation of the UGC-NET exam. Meanwhile, the government has taken a big decision and implemented a strict law to stop paper leaks. The Central Government has notified the 'Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024'. The purpose of this anti-paper leak law is to prevent paper leaks and copying of competitive examinations. The Central Government has implemented the law passed in February this year from Saturday (22 June). Under this Act, there is a provision for a maximum jail sentence of 10 years and a fine of up to Rs 1 crore for criminals. The Public Examination Act has been implemented at a time when Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan was asked about when it would be implemented. The Education Minister had said that the ministry is making rules.
