Nitin Gadkari, the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, has lately addressed the matter twice. He added on April 26 that if Tesla Inc., located in California, is willing to build electric vehicles in India, there will be "no problem," but that the business must not import automobiles from China. He went on to say that the country is a big market with a lot of promise for all-electric vehicles.
