Byelection Results 2024: Counting Underway For 13 Assembly Seats Across 7 States | ABP News
Vote counting for by-elections in 13 assembly constituencies across seven states began on Saturday. The bypolls, held on July 10, took place in West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Bihar, Tamil Nadu, and Madhya Pradesh. This was the first electoral exercise since the Lok Sabha elections, where the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) failed to secure a majority, and the opposition bloc, I.N.D.I.A, gained strength and improved their tally in the Lower House. The results of these bypolls are being closely watched, as they may indicate the shifting political landscape and the momentum of the opposition ahead of future elections. In Himachal Pradesh, polling was held for the Dehra, Hamirpur and the Nalagarh assembly constituencies on Wednesday. Thirteen candidates, including of the BJP and the Congress, were in the fray.
