Ahead of Karwa Chauth, gold prices have seen a surge. On Friday, the price of 22-carat gold was ₹72,560 for 10 grams, up from ₹72,550 the previous day. Meanwhile, the price of 24-carat gold stood at ₹77,410 per 10 grams on Friday. Silver also experienced a significant increase, rising by ₹683 to reach ₹92,283 per kilogram, compared to ₹91,600 on Thursday. The all-time high for silver is ₹94,280 per kilogram, which was recorded on May 29, 2024. In other news, the edtech company Byju's, which has been grappling with a financial crisis, has declared bankruptcy. Once valued at $22 billion two years ago, the company's worth has now plummeted to zero. Despite facing these challenging circumstances, the company's founder, Byju Raveendran, has pledged to make a comeback.
