Bharat Biotech Chief lashes out at AIIMS Director, says 'COVAXIN, a vaccine not backup'

Bharat Biotech's CMD Krishna Ella lashed out at the critics and AIIMS Director for calling COVAXIN a 'backup'. He said that there is no back-up in the world. He added that COVAXIN was a vaccine and not a back-up. He also said that the vaccine should not be politicised and that he or his family members were not linked to any political party. "People throw mud at Indian scientists," he added.
