Assembly Elections 2022: EC to make decision on physical political rallies today
The Election Commission of India will decide on Saturday whether to extend the prohibition on election rallies, roadshows, and corner meetings in the five poll-bound states beyond January 15 due to a nationwide rise in COVID-19 cases. The decision will be made based on information about the spread of Coronavirus and its Omicron variation, according to ABP sources. The commission banned all forms of major political gatherings and imposed restrictions for a week in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa, Punjab, and Manipur on January 8.
