Air pollution dips in Delhi due to lockdown; AQI averages at 64 in August 2020
Due to Coronavirus, India had to go through lockdown for months. Due to this, the Indian economy suffered too but one thing which improved was the Air Quality Index (AQI). This is why blue skies were visible and so was the sun every during evenings.
In Delhi, the air pollution dipped majorly. The average AQI for August 2020 was 64.
On the other hand, the least AQI was 41 on August 31. This falls in very good category
