#ABPResults: Ground report from Kolkata on counting day
West Bengal witnessed the most intense political tussle ever between the state's ruling government, Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress and the Bhartiya Janata Party.
The most furious battle began when Mamata Banerjee left her home seat Bhawanipore and contested from Nandigram against former ally, now BJP Leader Suvendu Adhikari. The state has recorded an average of around 80 per cent polling.
While a straight fight is expected between the BJP and the TMC on most of the seats, the CPI (M)-Congress-ISF alliance has made the battle triangular on several seats.
