Assam Flood News: 6 more people died in the last 24 hours due to floods in Assam. Disaster: There is a possibility of heavy rain in many states of the country. Heavy alert is issued everywhere. The Meteorological Department says that rain is continuing in these states since July 7 and now the rivers here are in spate, the water level is rising. 6 more people died in the last 24 hours due to floods in Assam.. Till now a total of 62 people have lost their lives.. Mall Vagaon and surrounding areas of Silchar were submerged in water. According to the weather predictions heavier rains are expected in the upcoming ays in Many regions in Assam. It has been reported that around 25 lakh people's lives are affected by the Assam Flood Situation.
