After Assam and Kerala, heavy rainfall has now wreaked havoc in Himachal Pradesh. Cloudbursts have occurred in Kullu’s Nirmand block, Malana, and Mandi district, causing significant damage. Many homes, schools, and hospitals have been damaged, and about 40 people are missing. In Mandi, one body has been found, and 35 people have been safely rescued. All schools and educational institutions in Mandi are closed today due to the cloudburst. Central Minister and BJP President JP Nadda has spoken with Himachal Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu to get updates on the situation and has assured support from the central government. Nadda also contacted former CM Jairam Thakur and the BJP state president, directing all BJP workers to assist in relief efforts.
