Home Ministry directs states to issue helpline number in 24 hours
The ministry of home affairs on Tuesday issued guidelines for essential service providers after PM Modi announced a 21-day lockdown. MHA has asked the states to provide all essential commodities and has also asked the states to issue a helpline number in 24 hours. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced a 21-day lockdown starting from midnight tonight as a major step in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. All essential services will continue and remain functional. The list of essential services remains unchanged since the March 22 'Janata Curfew'.
