Hanuman Chalisa Row: Political clash amid loudspeaker controversy | Master Stroke ( 25 April 2022 )

In the ongoing politics of Hanuman Chalisa row, Maharashtra MP Navneet Rana and her husband MLA Ravi Rana on Friday said that they would recite the Hanuman Chalisa in front of CM Udhav Thackeray's residence. The politics has intensified after the sedition chase charged against Navneet Rana and her husband Ravi Rana.

On April 23, the police registered the primary FIR on the charge of promoting enmity between various religions. It hence added the charge of sedition to this FIR. On April 24, the Khar police enrolled a second FIR against the Ranas under section 353 of the IPC for discouraging a local official from releasing obligation.
