Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury will take up onion price hike issue in Lok Sabha today.
Concerned by the rising prices of onions, the Centre on Monday asked the states to impose stock limits on traders and to ensure strict action against hoarding.
Onions have left customers teary-eyed as prices of the staple continue to soar in the national capital.
The central government has decided to import 1.2 lakh tonnes of onions to improve the domestic supply and control prices.
