Assam: Himanta Biswa Sarma elected as leader of BJP legislative party, to be next CM

 BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma has been elected as the leader of the BJP Legislative Party. Now Himanta Biswa Sarma will be the new Chief Minister of Assam. Union minister Narendra Singh Tomar and party general secretary Arun Singh were present as central observers in the legislative party meeting. Sarbananda Sonowal resigned as Chief Minister before the Legislature Party meeting began.
