Mumbai Rains: Incessant Rainfall Hits Rail Services

Overnight rains and heavy downpour has once again disrupted the lives of the people living in Mumbai. The continuous rain since last night had led to severe water-logging and flooding at several areas in the city. Train services in the Central and Harbour line are severely impacted, while flight operations at Mumbai airport are also running late. The Central Railway said that rail traffic along the Harbour Line, and between Ambernath and Badlapur, were stopped in the wee hours of Sunday as the water level rose above the rail top. While several local trains on the three main lines - Western line, Central line - were either delayed, diverted or cancelled due to severe waterlogging.
