Mumbai: Massive fire breaks out at ESIC Kamgar Hospital; 5 dead
A major fire broke out on Monday afternoon at ESIC Kamgar Hospital leaving at least five people dead and over 100 injured. The fire was classified as Level-3. The fire, caused by a suspected short-circuit, was seen in the upper floors of the five-storied building in the MIDC area -- the industrial hub of the north-western suburb -- around 4.15 pm.
The fire brigade got a call around about the blaze at the government-run hospital located at the busy locality of Marol in suburban Andheri.
