Maharashtra: School, college remain close in Nagpur as heavy rain likely to hit in another 48 hrs
Nagpur rains which had been heavy during the last 24 hours have become heftier in the past few hours. It seems like the skies have opened up pouring torrential rainfall over the city. In fact, in a span of six hours from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm, Nagpur has recorded a whopping 263 mm of rainfall.
ue to hefty rains, the Monsoon session of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly was adjourned for about an hour as the electricity supply had to be turned off since the switching centre that provides electricity to the Vidhan Bhawan was flooded.
Several areas of the city have also been waterlogged leading to flooding conditions in many parts. As per weathermen at Skymet Weather, more rains are in the offing which will further aggravate the situation.
