Kumbh 2019: Flower shower through chopper welcomes devotees

A chopper throws flower petals at Kumbh mela today. About 12 crore people are expected to visit Kumbh between now and March, when the festival will come to a close, for a holy dip at the Sangam.
It was traditionally called 'Ardh Kumbh' as it takes place twice in 12 years, but the present state government recently renamed it 'Kumbh'.
