Karnataka BJP chief BS Yeddyurappa demands mid-terms polls in the state
Amid speculation that JDS-Congress coalition may collapse following its drubbing in the Lok Sabha polls, Karnataka BJP Chief BS Yeddyurappa Sunday said his party favoured fresh assembly elections in such an event, ruling out partnering with the regional party to form a new government.
He said, "We have won 25 out of 28 seats in Lok Sabha. This is a historic win. It is better if we dissolve the govt and go for midterm polls."
