JNU Elections 2018: Vote counting suspended after violence
The counting for the JNUSU 2018 polls was suspended by the election committee late night on Friday. According to an election committee source, “If the matter drags further counting and results will be delayed accordingly.” The counting process and declaration takes around 36 hours and with more votes it was anticipated that results would be ready by Sunday morning. Till filing of this report the counting is yet to resume.The election committee on Saturday morning made a statement saying that the counting was suspended after two candidates tried snatch away sealed ballot boxes from the counting centre and also alleged that they tried to intimidate the committee members
